Making Cupcakes

Trippin Balls

well, Pokeballs, at any rate.
Tried my hands at Hama beads (think Perler Beads) and made up a few of these thingies.
Pokeball, Great ball and Ultra ball were all my colours on hand would let me make, but I think I saw at Spotlight some grey ones, so I should be able to do Dusk balls and the GS ball.

I made 3 of each, and turned 1 of each type into either a magnet, badge, or tag (that can be used on bag, mobile phone, etc etc.)

I've also got the bag for Grace done, though no photos of that.
Honestly, i'm glad i'm done, i've been really slow at stitching lately, and it's taken quite a toll on mental ability-ness.
Time for a few rest days! (a.k.a. until I get bored and the trichotillomania starts making itself known again...)

for years, i've been an utter craftard when it came to knitting and crocheting.

Well, i'm a lot less of a craftard now. Considering I can't look at the screen for very long, cross stitch or read because of my upgreaded vertigo (it's been labeled as chronic now! all abourd the spinny world!) i've started doing crochet, since I can look at it, and see the world around it. which seems to help the vertigo be not as bad.

This is my second attempt, took me all day yesterday to do, just 'cause of the stopping in between to let the ol' noggin clear.

and yes, it's a fingerless glove. my hand was cold, it was a rough square shape. now I have a warm hand. :)

it's not too bad! Once my brain clicked that it's a lot like finger knitting, I was off. tension seems to be the biggest problem at the moment, but that will come with time, and practice.

wow. after so much ignoring this blog, suddenly i'm back up and running with it!

So, i finished those cards.
Got sick of the trees, and decided to branch out (ha) into a couple of wreaths to finish the ste off.  I'm thinking, that the next set I do will be black cards with silver thread, maybe gold as well.

I'm also contemplating making a goatse wreath, but i'll have to work that one out.... pun unintended. eew.

i've been attempting embroidery.

this is 4 of 6 that I want for the first set. I really need to get some trifold cards, then the insides can be a lot nicer and neater. STILL, they look good!

 Ok, Kitty update - he's going very well, off to the vets for a new bandage on friday, and he's ready to GO. he's been going like a zyrtec, here he is playing hard to get, by squirming (and then getting stuck) in the tunnely bit of the enormous cat climbing castle that Amanda from work gave him. Thankyou, Amanda! As you can see (if you ever see this) he loves it - he clings to it if we try to get him off it.
Doc's at least said that though jumping down is a huge no-no, if he's going up, it's not nearly as bad.

Random dragon head - got the  spinnies really badly doing the details for this. took 3 days.. normally sould have taken 3 hours. >.<

Patterns, Kitty Update & Slight Rant

been busy today!
I've made a few cross stitch patterns.

Boots is doing really well - considering. had to go to the vets for another checkup yesterday, and they found that he'd had an enormous allergic reaction to the sticky bandage they'd used last time, and a pin had PEIRCED HIS LEG. poor fucker. So it was off to emergency surgery in the afternoon, and out it came. (the pin, not the leg). on the plus side though, he's healing up really really well. bone isforming nicely, and the vets are really pleased with his progress. Hell, they even gave him a bath, since we apologised that he stank like a filthy hippy.

 

This is him, and fiancee, that night. Derpy mcDerperson (cat) was still half stoned from the drugs and surgery. 

Been feeling rather crap lately - Mystery illness is a mystery - and it's back. was really not well towards the end of last year, and it seems to be rearing it's head again. This time though, it's going to cost me my job, because i'm 1) really not that well, and 2) "performance issues" - like being barely able to COPY A FUCKING PHONE NUMBER DOWN. While it's being read out to me.

Going to try for disability pension, it's sure as hell affected my working ability for more than 2 years, whatever the fuck this thing is, and looks like it's goin to do the same for the forseeable future. :(   If I do get it though, i'll be getting (including the fiancee's pay) within 200 a fortnight of what we're already getting in. which isnt so bad, really.

anyway, i'm off. need to go take some more drugs, the worlds spinny again. Oh, that's right, IT HASNT STOPPED YET. Augh. I hate hate HATE vertigo.

Wow.
Sorry I just dropped off the face of the planet there, been busy.
Life has decided to come and get me, so I haven't been too active with crafting things, but I have started playing with the idea of learning how to make candles.
I have made today, with my artistic ability:
2x Tealight Holders - one has "Enjoy Hell, Devils" and the other has a mustache on it. On the back of both, there is 'CF4L'.

5 failed tealight candles, that were vanilla scented, failed because the wicks fell in, but I couldn't save them before they hardened.

4 successful wax melts - from the same vanilla scented batch.

Not sure if i'll put them up for sale, probably not, honestly. But having said that, i'm pretty proud of myself - I've learned something. Not sure what it was, but it was something.

I've also made a pretty for the lovely MissBea, since it's her 21st coming up.

Well, i've been at work all week, but I have finally managed to finish two of the cards properly - The Ladybug and The Dragonfly are waiting in the wings (ha!) ready to go. Next one is the Butterfly, and i've got some really nice thread to work it with.

So that's them, hopefully i'll be able to put more pics up soon!
