Back from MIA!

So, I took a break from stitching, I think I broke my brain, as my motivation to continue a peice (that's on the backburner until further notice) went and vanished.

I've recently made a cute sketch that was coloured, and then recoloured. A friend suggested a cross stitch pattern of it! And, amazingly, I made it :D
It's not up in the etsy store just yet, there's a couple of tweaks to make still. Like finding his other ear. But not His Other Ear, I know where he is. kinda.

I'm loving the box of goodies that was send to me by HoE, too! I'm seriously going to have to cut some people to get Peanut Butter M&M's. /reason why i'm fat

A teaser until next time....

Il N'y a Pas De Chat Ordinaire - Framed and Listed!

finished peice, with a quotation by writer, Colette.

Colette was the pen name of the French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette. She is best known, at least in the English-speaking world, for her novel Gigi, which provided the plot for a Lerner & Loewe musical film and stage musical.

The frame holds a 5x7" finished peice.

Panda Love

My latest creation: A cute little panda card! The whole thing is hand cut, and the panda, is, of course, stitched by myself. The listing is here!
I even made the cute ladybug envelope!

I've been busy!

Well, i've been busy!
I've completed a few new peices, and have listed some of them!
I plan to go back and edit the listings as I find the right frames.

Those that are listed:
The picture reallydoesn't do the colours justice. It's so much nicer in person! Hopefully I can find the perfect frame for it, to help bring out the colours. :)

The tiny dragon, which I featured in an earlier post, has a mat now! All i'm missing is the frame, which is on hold until next wednesday, when he gets framed, and enjoys another photoshoot. With frame:
Doesn't it look wonderful already?

Next up, is the little palace guard. I plan to do a few more, because these are too cute not to! I may branch out into plastic canvas for these, they'd make great magnets. I'm going to look into more nationalities, too!
I've also got a mat for him, too.

And the last one. I'm having trouble deciding what to do with this one! Part of me wants to find a tiny little retro frame, and another part of me wants to put it in a teensy hoop, that i'd colour in neon first! Decisions, decisions.

What will most likely happen, is that it will 'tell' me what it wants to do.

And lastly, but most definetly not least, a huge thankyou to Ouroboros, who sent me the mats!
Now, go check out her shop! :)  Ouroboros On Etsy

A Golden Note to Self...

This is Derpylocks.  Say hi, Derpylocks!
Derpylocks was given to me by Gloom, on the regretsy forums.
Derpylocks is going to be put out to stud as soonas he grows up, hopefully producing lots of derpful gold babies.
This is the list of who wanted a gold!

In order of who'll get one: (done by random generator)
I *may* breed a second Gold - and influence it to be Female - first, so I can hopefully breed more golds,  faster.
1st - Savvy
2nd- Beeby
3rd- HoE
4th- Cindy (sorry Cindy!)
5th- Rawr
6th- Pammy

After that, i'll be breeding on a first in, best dressed, list.

(Will be updated as neccesary.)

Breeding attempt #1 - Derpylocks bred to Midas Left Forefinger (Gold Tinsel) = They refused to go near each other.
Breeding attempt #2 - Derpylocks bred to BaubleSack (Shadow Walker) = They don't seem interested in each other. (better reult than last time!)
Breeding attempt #3 - Derpylocks bred to Medusa Cascade (Blue Nebula) = You attempt to breed the two dragons, but no egg is produced.
Breeding attempt #4 - Derpylocks bred to Medusa Cascade (Blue Nebula) = You attempt to breed the two dragons, but no egg is produced.
Breeding attempt #5 -  Derpylocks bred to
Breeding attempt #6 - Derpylocks bred to

Restocking the shop ..

So i've decided to gut my shop on etsy, rename it, and start afresh.
My previous efforts with putting whatever took my fancy into my shop didn't make it look professional, and I didn't have that much interest in it.

So I put it into vacation mode, and had a think about what I wanted to do with it. Close it down? Reopen and continue along? go in a different direction altogether? Do something I enjoy, and list those?

I ended up choosing the last option, and have started cross stitching again. I'll mainly befocusing on the smaller peices, as I get my speed up (i'm a slow stitcher), and so I can have more than one or two peices before the 'big reopen'!

I have completed one peice so far, a cute little dragon, that reminds you a bit of Puff the magic dragon - not intentional, but when someone pointed it out on regretsy.com, I couldn't help but see it too!

Yes, it's blurry, and the colours are washed out - it looks so much nicer in person! I'm waiting on payday to get a frame for this, and an internet friend has cut me a few frames, and they are being sent to me.

I've been working on another sampler, too - almost finished it! It's done in perle variation thread, and it looking very pretty!
All going well, I should have it done by the end of the day.

After that, i'm going to stitch up a little British Palace Guard. I can turn this one into a magnet easily, i'll see how it goes!
